July Week 27 2015
Another crazy week of teaching! I’m finding it difficult to maintain any yoga practice for myself, but hopefully as instructors come back from vacation I’ll have more time and energy to go to classes. In all of the business, we almost forgot to celebrate the 4th of July! We ended up going to Martha’s Backyard (aka the America store) where they were giving out some USA themed favors, including single serving kool-aid packets and tootsie rolls.
Michael had to work that night, but I was able to grab dinner with one of my yoga students visiting from Colorado! Being so far away from home it’s great to see a familiar face. That night we went to a bar for one of Michael’s co-workers birthdays. The music was terrible and they served cocktails in teapots, but there was a burger place next door that makes a delicious portobello “burger,” so that was a win. Since I’ve been teaching yoga on Sunday afternoons, Michael’s been coming to my class. This Sunday we took a bus to Newmarket afterward for dinner and a movie. Dinner was at the apparently famous chain, Nando’s, where chicken is the specialty and people somehow have all kinds of jokes about that. The movie, Love and Mercy, was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it to all of you.
